Magpress privacy policy

Last updated September 3, 2026

Magpress (“the app”) is a Shopify app that lets a store’s customers upload and position photos for custom photo magnets, and gives the merchant a production queue, print sheets and shipping hand-off. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and for how long.

What we collect and why

The app does not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or shipping addresses. Order webhooks that include such fields are used only to find the order and line item; the fields themselves are not retained. The app does not sell or share personal data, does not use it for advertising, and does not make automated decisions about customers.

Retention

Storage and security

Data is stored with Netlify (application and photo storage) and Supabase (database), in United States data centres, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited to the app operator for support and maintenance. Merchants see only their own store’s data, authenticated through Shopify.

Merchants’ responsibilities

Merchants remain the controller of their customers’ data and should describe photo uploads in their own privacy policy. The app acts as a processor on the merchant’s behalf under the terms of service.
